HOW TO OVERCOME TEMPTATIONS #ExpandYourWorld

images (18)
There is a method behind temptation. First satan tempts God's people then goes before him to accuse them. Temptation usually is followed by an attack of condemnation which may even lead to spiritual intimidation (physically and spiritually) that can erode your confidence in Christ and this can degenerate to defeat or even captivity to satan. The best thing is to defeat the devil when this is still temptation (at the early stage).

Principles of Temptation
1. The source of temptation is demonic powers led by the devil, Jam 1:13. God does not tempt people.
2. There is a reward for overcoming temptation, Jam 1:12. There is a reward for not compromising and living a holy Christian life.
3. The purpose of temptation is to severe your relationship with God and get you to disobey Him. You cannot have fellowship with God while walking in darkness, 1 John 1:6. What is damaged when people fall into sin is relationship. Sin destroys fellowship.

No matter what has happened, you can defeat him by repentance and cleansing of the blood and unleashing the words of your testimony, Rev 12:11. The blood of Jesus can be used to defeat the enemy when he attacks and also when you are tempted.

Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!

1. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

2. Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee,
casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
which wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.

3. Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
perfect in power, in love and purity.

4. Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity.

WHAT REALLY IS GOD LIKE? WHAT IS THE DIVINE NATURE?

Have you ever wondered what you would see if your spiritual eyes were opened to see God? This question bothered me for years until the Lord showed me this scripture.

Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, long suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."(Exodus 34:5-7)

When God appeared to Moses on the mount, he revealed his nature and ways to Moses. This is the picture God revealed about Himself:
1. Mercy
2. Gracious
3. Endurance
4. Goodness
5. Truth
6. Loyalty
7. Forgiveness
8. Justice
9. Love
These nine things are not what God does, they are who He is. The Image of God being reproduced in human beings is the essence of social transformation. You are not a Christian until you can reproduce these attributes of God in your life. How Godly are you?

PRAYER: "Lord, change me and make me like you. I see the gap between Christ and I is still very much. Yet Lord I come that you enable me to keep my eyes on you and be transformed into your image. Lord help us live to become living epistles, Let all of us live as people bearing your image, IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS!

DEVOTION: 5th Sunday in Lent

White flowers adorned the altar, and the youth group had taken special care to decorate the old church building for the Easter service. The church was overflowing; people stood in the balcony and outside. As a congregation we stood and sang, “Crown him, Lord of lords.” I felt as if we were a part of the crowning ceremony of our Lord Jesus Christ. I had seen many pictures of kings and leaders being crowned, and I felt blessed to be part of crowning the King. Jesus our Lord gave up his Father’s kingdom to become mortal and to sacrifice his life so that we could be saved. As we drove home from the church service, the song still lingered in my mind. I wondered what kind of crown I had placed on the head of Jesus — the kingly crown of a faithful life or the thorny crown of a sinful life? Singing with the congregation made me realize that we can examine our hearts and acknowledge that we need our Lord. After that, we can repent and offer our hearts to the One who saved us, who shed his blood for us. Our humble, repentant hearts are precious jewels in the crown of our Lord Jesus Christ.

YOU CANT BELIEVE WHAT MIRACLES PROPHET T. B. JOSHUA PERFORMED IN S. KOREA, [PHOTOS]

I'm posting this because some critics have said he can't take his "act" to Asia. But he is there live:
Pastor T.B. Joshua is currently flying the flag for Nigeria in the Asian nation of South Korea where he just concluded a two day pastor’s conference. Pictures posted to Joshua’s official Facebook Page showed him addressing a gathering of over 3000 Korean pastors in Shingil Church located in Korea’s capital city, Seoul.

The two day event was also broadcast live via his popular Christian television station Emmanuel TV.

The move surprised many of his followers as the visit was unannounced and it is TB Joshua’s first foreign ministry travel in nearly seven years besides a much publicised visit to Ghana last year that brought parts of Accra to a literal standstill.

After receiving TB Joshua’s prayer, he guided several Korean clergymen to pray for the sick. Scores of those who showed up at the venue were healed with two of the afflicted walking out of their wheelchairs.

DEVOTION: For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

The Apostle Paul was convinced that whether alive or dead, Christ is gain. This enabled him to minister amid severe hardship and persecution. It also helped him face the potential of premature death without fear and concern. When Christ is everything, life and death are left in His hands.

Bad news interrupted the Standing Strong Through the Storm (SSTS) training for pastors in a rural town of Colombia clouding the happy spirit felt in that meeting.

A letter was received from Pastor Manuel who explained that he was prevented from attending the workshop. Guerrilla leaders found out about the event. They told him that because of his insistence on preaching the gospel, they would not let him travel out of the village.

The amazing thing is that in spite of the continuous threats against Pastor Manuel, the guerrillas have not been able to carry them out against him. On repeated occasions, the army has come just in time to save him from some guerrilla attack.

While participants were grieving from this news about Pastor Manuel, another pastor, Hermes, told about two attempts against his own life by the same subversive band the previous month. Immediately participants expressed their desire to continue their ministry in places where the gospel is prohibited.

However, seven days later, the guerrillas brought together all the leaders that participated in the SSTS workshop and told them, “We are tired of the Christian’s disobedience. We do not want to kill anybody; the only thing we want is that you stop telling the people about the Bible. We will have to execute you. Tell Pastor Hermes that we will take drastic measures against him since we know that he is the one who encourages you…”

Pastor Hermes reported that instead of frightening the believers, this difficult situation generated a more intense plan of spiritual and ministerial action. The leaders want Open Doors seminars to come to places where it is impossible to preach.

How are they going to do it? Pastor Hermes said that a network of prayer was established during the time they were together. He believes the only way is through personalized training, or delivering a booklet and training to only one person at a time. For now it is the only way to use this tool to strengthen the believers. The training will take longer, but it is very dangerous to meet and to preach in houses because the guerrillas have cleverly infiltrated the area.

He concluded, “Materials from Standing Strong Through the Storm have been the driving force for us to continue preaching…Others also are striving to follow Christ and we have to do the same to prevent our church believers from losing their fervor.

“Besides prayer and fasting, we have to take action…God has protected us up to this moment, and if one day we die for preaching Christ, it will be a privilege.”

RESPONSE: Today I will live in such a way that Christ is honored and glorified. If it takes all my strength or even my death, I will sacrifice all for Him and consider it a privilege.

PRAYER: Pray for strength and endurance for pastors in rural Colombia facing death threats daily.

John 6:37 “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”

John 10:28-29 “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

This is one of the first verses that I committed to memory.  Why?  It’s because so many feel that they are unworthy to be saved.  Some days they feel saved and the next they feel lost. They are not sure if they are saved or not from day to day.  How unsettling that must be but these verses give us a mental picture that we are secure and held firm but the mighty hands of Jesus and the Father.  When my children were young I tried to see if they could snatch a marble out of my hand when it was clinched tight.  Even a strong man has difficulty opening a clinched hand.  How impossible it is to snatch someone out of the mighty hands of God!  Jesus reassures us that “no one is able to snatch them out” of His hand or the Father’s hand.  What an inspirational image and promise this is!

John 6:37 “All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”

The gospel of John is my favorite because John writes so much about the security that is in Christ Jesus.  This verse is somewhat like John 10:28-29 with the exception of this precious statement of Jesus; “whoever comes to me I will never cast out.”  Wow!  What unconditional love this reveals. Jesus will not ever turn anyone away, or cast them out, once they come to Him….no matter what!

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Romans 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

This seems close to Jeremiah 29:11 except for the fact that even bad things work out for our best. The Bible has a history where God uses evil for His purpose.  That means that everything…all things…work together for our ultimate good. It doesn’t say that all things are good but that all things, good or bad, work to our benefit.  These “all things” do not work out for the best for those who are not called by God.   The opposite is true for non-believers; all things will work out for their worse.

Psalm 23:8 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Taken from The Lord is My Shepherd, this last verse has David looking forward and seeing with the eyes of faith, a future that is full of hope.  David is certain that he will dwell with the Lord “forever” or for time without end.  This is clearly a reference to eternal life.  God’s goodness and mercy is going to “follow [him] all the days of [his] life” meaning that even after his death on this earth, God’s mercy and goodness will follow him to his eternal dwelling place with God.  This eternal dwelling place is the coming Kingdom of Heaven.

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

If we look at the context of this entire 4th chapter we can see that Paul is not saying that we can do anything we want or that God will grant us every request. Paul was saying that he can persevere in the faith because it is Christ who will strengthen him.  Why did he need strengthening?  It was because Paul had been enduring tortures, beatings, hunger, cold, and all kinds of sufferings.  In all these things he learned to be content (Phil 4:11).  Jesus said that apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5) but through Christ, we “can do all things” because He Himself will strengthen us if it is for His glory.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare [literally “peace”] and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

God knows the plans that He has for us but it does not say that we have to know.  God declares that His plans are for our best (welfare) and they are not for bad (evil).  These plans are for our future hope.  If we believe this, we can pillow our head on the sovereignty of God.  Knowing that God is in control should give us peace of mind.  I saw a license plate that said “God is my co-pilot.”  I would rather it read that “God is my pilot” and I am the co-pilot.

This 6 Year Old Girl Just Died. What She Did Right Before is Heart-Shattering.

When Maddie Higgins, a 6 year-old with an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer, knew she was dying, she only had one simple wish on her bucket list: she wanted to play in snow.
She knew treatment wouldn’t make her better, but that was okay. She was patiently waiting to go to heaven. But before leaving this Earth, she wanted to have one last happy day with her family and friends.

Maddie’s final wish was not elaborate or expensive. It showed just how beautiful this little angel was.

After months of exhausting and intense treatment, Maddie just wanted to spend one afternoon with her family, enjoying something simple.

She wanted to play in snow – and they were thrilled to be able to grant her wish.

Maddie couldn’t hold back her excitement when she saw the fresh powder. “It’s impossible, it’s summer!” she gleefully told her parents.

Her family wanted to give her every happy experience they could before she succumbed to her extremely aggressive cancer. Including snow when it seemed impossible.

But even though she shared smiles with her family that day, Maddie unfortunately passed away this week, getting her own angel wings in heaven.

Maddie will never be forgotten. Her beautiful soul and smiles will stay with anyone who has seen her for the rest of their lives. Even when she was facing death and was in pain, she was a bright spot in her family’s lives.
Her mother said, “My baby girl, I’ll be waiting until I get to see those beautiful eyes and that smile again. Mommy and Daddy love you so very much.”

Prayer For Prosperity

With God as my continual support I shall not want. The Lord brings to pass my continuous good and ever expanding prosperity. I am always provided for because I have faith in God as my omnipresent abundance.

I have faith in God as my almighty resource and I trust God to preserve me in my prosperity.

I trust in God in all the affairs of my life. I come to God because I believe that God is a rewarder of them that seek after God. I do not depend upon persons or conditions for any of my prosperity. I fully realize that persons and conditions are channels of my prosperity but God is the source of my supply. I am the rich child of a loving God. I cleanse my mind and I ask God to cleanse the minds of all others of any idea that my good can be withheld from me. No person, situation or event can keep from me that which God has for me right now.

My success and my future cannot be limited. God surrounds me and fills me with Divine ideas that free me from all limitation. With God's help, I am now and forever freed from all financial limitation. I turn on the great energy of my thinking in prayer and focus on prosperity so that God's prosperity can focus on me. Through my free-will, I say yes to God and to God's good now prepared for me. God's speed now increases the velocity of my life. I am moving towards prosperity and prosperity is moving towards me. I am a magnet for its activity of good in my life.

Vast improvement comes immediately in every phase of my life now. Every day, in every way, God is making things better and better for me now. I eagerly invite the wealth of God to manifest in my life now. I release any idea held in mind that I cannot do this. I maintain ever expanding financial prosperity for the rest of my life.

I am provided for, and I eagerly provide for others by sharing my good. I am beautifully and appropriately supplied, clothed, housed and transported. God provides supply for every need. I give thanks to God for a quick and substantial increase in my prosperity income now. I am God's rich child! I am rich, well and happy in every aspect of my life. My life is in Divine order now.

My life is filled abundantly with loving friends and family. I give first of God's love given to me and to all those around me. I give first to my spiritual sources knowing that I cannot out give God. Giving is the first step in receiving and my giving makes me rich. I freely give my 10th to God and I reap a 100 fold increase.

My life is expanded, rich and full. I feel fullfilled as I actively move forward into my expanded good Divinely directed and lavishly prospered. I am God-guided into my perfect place to serve. I am now guided into my true place with the true people and with lasting prosperity quickly, easily and in peace. There is no lack in God. The only lack is the fear of lack itself.

I am surrounded by God's abundance. I live, move and have my being in God's abundance. I think only abundant thoughts. The love of God flows easily within my life as abundance. God's good fills my every need. Blessings - all kinds, some seemingly insignificant, some very great - come to me through God's love. They flow from one person to another, increasing and enhancing all of our lives.

In communion with God, you give your attention wholly to God and become more aware of God's blessings. Your heart breathes a quiet "Thank You, God" as you express your love to God and to others. Immersed in the flow of God's good you see how your life has been enriched. You are grateful and you give thanks to God.

In Jesus Christ's name...Amen

A Letter From Heaven

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say,
But first of all to let you know that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from Heaven, where I dwell with God above,
Where there are no tears or sadness, there is just eternal Love.

letter

Please do not be unhappy, just because I'm out of sight,
Remember that I'm with you, every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you, when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me, and said, " I welcome you".

"It's good to have you back again.
You were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here so badly as part of my big plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man".

Then God gave me a list of things he wished for me to do.
And foremost on that list of mine, is to watch and care for you.
I will be beside you, every day of the week and year,
And when you're sad I'm standing there, to wipe away the tear.

And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on Earth, and all those loving years,
Because you're only human, there's bound to be some tears.

One thing is for certain, though my life on Earth is over,
I am closer to you now than I ever was before.
And to my many friends, trust God knows what is best.
I am not far away from you, I'm just beyond the crest.

There are rocky roads ahead for you and many hills to climb,
Together we can do it, taking one day at a time.
It was my philosophy and please I'd like for you,
To give unto the world, so the world will give to you.

If you can help someone who's in sorrow or in pain,
Then you can say to God at night, my day was not in vain.
And now I am contented that my life it was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

When you're walking down the street and I am on your mind,
I'm walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind.
And when you feel a gentle breeze of wind upon your face,
That's me giving you a great big hug, or just a s oft embrace.

When it's time for you to go from that body to be free,
Remember you are not going, you are coming home to me.
I will always love you, from that place way up above,
I will be in touch again soon.
P.S. God sends his love.

Let us Return to Our First Love

Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works.

— Revelation 2:5

When Jesus found a fatal flaw in the church at Ephesus — that they were leaving their first love — He also gave His prescription for renewal and revival. They are the three Rs of returning to our first love: remember, repent, and repeat.

First, you need to remember. This word could be translated, "Keep on remembering." What should you remember? You should remember where you were when Jesus Christ first found you. You were separated from Him by sin and on your way to a certain judgment. But He graciously and lovingly reached out to you and forgave you. All of us were separated from God and facing judgment. The essential thing Christ did for you is the same that He did for every person.
10203_460799380716085_882112148_n
The psalmist described it this way: "He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth — praise to our God" (Psalm 40:2-3). Every Christian can say this. That is what Christ did for us.

Second, you need to remember where you were at the highest point of your love for Jesus. When was that high point in your spiritual life? Was it a month ago? A year? Ten years? Or was it today? Could you say, "At this moment in my life, I believe I am as close to the Lord as I have ever been"? If you can say that, praise God. If not, remember when you were closest to the Lord, mark it in your mind, and make it your aim to return there once again.

Today's Devotion

1 Peter 1:3-5

Christ’s resurrection is not open for theological debate. There are many people who think it’s sufficient to believe that Jesus lived and died. However, the Savior’s restoration to life is central to what He claimed about His identity and to Christianity as a faith. Picking up on our question from yesterday’s devotion, we must ask what kind of man is this who rose from the dead?

The answer is that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for our sins and rose again because death had no power over Him. The resurrection validated Jesus’ entire ministry. All along, He said and did things to reveal that He was Lord. When the Lamb of God—the perfect sacrifice for sin—conquered death, He confirmed His identity. Who but the Creator could return to life?

We could also answer the question by saying that the kind of man who returns from the dead is one worthy of our hope. Since Jesus Christ affirmed God’s power to give His followers eternal life, their earthly existence is not marching toward an end; rather, it is the opening chapter of a beautiful and infinite relationship with God. The apostle Paul said that at death, Christians are absent from the body and present with the Lord (2 Cor. 5:8). So the best is yet to come!

Apart from Jesus’ resurrection, there is no hope. People who chase after their own version of immortality don’t have assurance of life after death, because there is none. Believers, however, face the end of earthly life with the confidence that nothing can separate them from the love of God. Death is just a short trip home.

>•ARE YOU BORN AGAIN OR NOT? A MUST READ •<

A Pastor was traveling last week, he saw an old man, and gave him a lift. While they were going, the old man said; my son, do you know what happened in Heaven last night? The pastor was so terrified and hurriedly parked and asked; Sir, are you sleeping? How did you get the information about Heaven? The Old man said; last night in Heaven God became very angry with man and asked the Angels to blow the trumpet. The angels picked up the trumpets and as they were about to blow it WHEN, Jesus fell down and began to plead in tears. The blood that came out of His hands and body were very fresh. He told God that His death shouldn't be in vain. God couldn't stand the pains of the saint and the wickedness of the evil ones. So He said; "I AM GIVING THEM THEIR LAST CHANCE."

Jesus then turned to the angels and told them to move down in their numerous numbers to tell the world that:

"THE END IS NEAR, JESUS IS COMING VERY SOON".

The pastor (sweating and crying) asked; sir, how did you know this?
The OLD MAN replied; I am one of the Angels
sent to the World.

Please use every medium of communication
to send this message.
No time to waste, Please! And the old man disappeared.

Brethren, this story is real, Christ is coming Soon.
PLEASE SAVE A SOUL TODAY.
I Have done my part, it's now your turn to
spread the Gospel.
No wealth can be compared to life
everlasting in Heaven.
If you are Ready to share this Message, LIKE
and write: "AMEN"
May God bless you all. AND DO NOT FORGET TO
SHARE THIS POST. LET SAVE THE WORLD

A PROMISED HOPE

For to us a Child is born,to us a Son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called a Wonderful Counsellor,Mighty God,Everlasting Father,Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end(Isaiah 9:6-7).

Jesus came down from Heaven to take our burdens(problem,sin,death...).
He brought us hope and happiness, and this we can boast of that we find joy and peace like living streams in our souls.
As we celebrate this season to mark the birth of Christ who brought joy to the whole world, may He take away all our problems onto Himself and give total freedom to all who have been taken captive both spiritual and physical.
May He bring light to those in darkness.
May He rain peace onto earth.

Make merries and let joy flow through your heart because if you allow that joy to pass through your heart and mark this season with love, your burdens will be no more.
Share gifts as many as you can and God will replenish whatever you give out in many folds.
Let your cry be laughter and you will cry no more.

To end it,I wish you all merry Christmas and many happy returns.
God bless you and keep you safe. Amen.

THERE IS NO FREEDOM IN HELL

There is no ease, freedom nor right in hell. The Souls in hell struggle to find a good place but will not get because all the suffering on earth concentrated at one point is lesser than the torment that a soul goes through at the best part of hell.
You'll be denied of what you want because you've already chosen the place of eternal suffering(Matthew 8 :10-12, and Revelation 21 :6-8)

Yes! There's no freedom in hell;it's full of punishment but God loves humanity and it's never His thought to send humanity to hell and that's why He has given us Jesus Christ that by believing in Him(Jesus) your sins are forgiven you forever, and you will pass from death to life(John 5:21-25). This means that Jesus will lead us into the Father's Kingdom(John 14:6).
Let us flee from the coming wrath of God and come to dwell under His grace that brought us forgiveness and salvaion through our Lord Jesus Christ.
May the Almighty God draw all the lost souls to Himself, and restore backliders too.
To the Christians,I pray that the Lord will strengthen our faith in Him so that nothing on earth shall separate us from Him.

PRAYER:
Oh Mighty God,we belong to You,cast us not away from Your presence, when we err, forgive us and transform us so that we will be like Jesus Christ,Your Son.
Lead us into Your kingdom so that we will see Your glory above.
I do this on behalf of all Your children across the world.
In the name of The Lord Jesus hear our prayer,Amen.

God says

He will give you a new name,he will change your name from
>Miss to Mrs
>Master to Mr
>Job seeker to job giver
>Tenant to Landlord
>Barren woman to mother of twins in Jesus Name!
Satan is a liar,he is telling you to ignore this prayer.
Proof him wrong by choosing a new name you want and type "Amen"
