This picture is haunting and it’s been floating around the internet with the sentence:

And that’s equally haunting.  It’s impossible to verify but the picture tells a story about the pain and suffering that exists in Syria right now.  There are many in the media who would like to say this is because president Bashar al-Assad is a ruthless killer.  And that’s half true.  Like other government leaders – he has engaged in war and with that war has come the death of tens of thousands and the displacement of over 1 million Syrians now living in refugee camps.

But this hasn’t always been the case.  This is the inevitable result of a covert war being waged by the U.S., Israel and other Sunni countries like Qatar and Saudi Arabia.  Our interests in taking down the Syrian dictator al-Assad are all about geo-politics.  If we take out Syria – we neuter Iranian influence in the region.  It has gotten so bad that al-Qaeda is now fighting on the same side as the United States government and Bashar al-Assad and his government are fighting al-Qaeda.  And Syrians are all the victim of this massive global covert proxy war.

It has gotten to the point where we don’t even know if the chemical weapons that were used in Syria were the result of al-Qaeda or the Syrian government.  When it comes to matters of intelligence and propaganda – it’s very hard to discern truth from fiction.  But no one can deny that Syria was a very stable country until we decided to go in all guns blazing.  We’re not bringing democracy to the world – that’s the sound of imperialism baby.

God is good, 2-Yr-Old Calls Emergency Service And Saves Mother's Life

A toddler has been credited with saving his mother's life after he called emergency service following her sudden collapse last month.

According to reports, 2-year-old Riley Ward of Leicestershire, England, had the presence of mind to call the United Kingdom's emergency telephone number "999" in February when his mom lost consciousness in their home, telling operators: "Mummy's on the floor."
"All I remember is the room getting smaller and smaller and then I opened my eyes when I heard a police officer trying to kick my door down," Riley's mom, Dana Henry, told the Leicester Mercury. I managed to get up and open the door but then collapsed again."
Henry was rushed to the hospital, where doctors reportedly discovered a large blood clot and dangerous bleeding of her ovary.
"When the surgeon came to see me the next day, she said she had never seen anything like it. When I asked what would have happened if I hadn’t got to hospital, she said I would have been very poorly," Henry told the Leicester Mercury.
Henry said that she had long drilled it into Riley and his sister that they should call 999 if they were ever unable to wake her. She says, however, that she's still amazed that her little boy was able to follow those life-saving instructions.
This week, the East Midlands Ambulance Services, which responded to Riley's plea for help, has recognized the toddler's bravery and quick-thinking, the BBC notes. Riley has been awarded a paramedic teddy bear and a certificate

When baby Favour Adam-Umoh was born 21 months ago into the Family of Mr. and Mrs. Blessing Adams, Favour appeared normal as a growing baby and there was nothing unpleasant about her health, particularly her eyes to raise any suspicion that something was remarkably wrong with her sight. But six months later, the signs began to manifest.
The state of her health then may have spured her parents to name her Favour – a gift bestowed as a token of goodwill, kind regard, love by God.

But, today, Favour is struck with a strange eye disease which medical doctors at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, confirmed to be congenital glaucoma.
Presently, Favour with bulging of the right eye which is now affecting the left eye, further medical examination
revealed that the baby has cancer of the eye.
According to her doctors, if there is no urgent medical intervention, poor Favour will lose her both eyes.
The parents have been going from pillar to post, looking for solution but all efforts to help baby Favour have proved abortive.
All the way from Onitsha, her mother, Blessing Adam came to Lagos recently in search of  a miracle that could help transform the condition of her baby girl.
The 28-year-old mother was advised to seek further solution in a faith based institution by a friend. So, she went to the TB Joshua’s Synagogue church of all nations in Lagos.
According to her, “I went to TB Joshua’s church on Wednesday and waited patiently for me to be called upon but all expectations failed.
“Unfortunately, it was not the time for cancer patients. So, I left and went back the following day. Again, my baby’s name was not called. So, I felt bad and left because I did not want my baby to die.
“I was in a bus when a good Samaritan man saw the condition of the baby and advised that I should go  to Vanguard that I must surely get help.
“I am a petty trader and my husband drives a hired Keke Marwa. We both live in Onitsha but we are a native of Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State.
“I did not know anywhere in Lagos but with the help of the man, I was able to locate Vanguard premises”, she added.
Narrating the sorry tales of her baby’s health,  she said, “Favour started scratching her eyes when she was six months old.
“At first, I never envisaged it was a serious issue. So, I did not take her to the hospital immediately, but took her to nearby Chemist shop and the man advised that, I should apply eye drops and give her some Vitamin C syrup which I did.
“Unfortunately, there was no changes in her as the day goes by, so, I stopped the eye drops and the  drug. Then, I sought help elsewhere. I then started going from one church to another just to get help.
“A pastor told me that it was a spiritual problem and that it can only be tackled with prayers. So, I started going from one church to another. And since the incident, I had gone to seven different churches but all efforts were to no avail.
“After a while, my husband advised that I should take her to University of Calabar Teaching Hospital and there I was told that her eyes were already damaged and it will be removed.
“The doctor said, an operation will be carried out on the girl but I do not know the cost of the operation. I was scared because I did not want my baby’s eyes to be removed, so I left.
“Although, the doctor said removing the eyes will help save the life of the baby but I do not agree that her eyes should be removed.
“Before taking her to University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, I had gone to Guinness hospital, Onitsha where I was given some drugs. But, there was no changes. I was then given a letter to go to Nnewi for laboratory test.
“Unfortunately, we are financially incapacitated so, I could not go for the laboratory test as quickly as possible as prescribed. But, when we finally went, it was also discovered that she is having cancer of the eye.
Since, the incident, the baby has been passing through severe pain. She cannot sleep at night. I only carry her on my back everyday and night. She cries so much such that she hardly sleep at night. Her siblings, a boy and a girl are presently at Onitsha”, she lamented.
Asked, if there was any history of eye problem in her family, she said, “My mother-in-law has eye problem. My husband told me it was witchcraft that caused her eye problem.
When Saturday Vanguard contacted Namdi Azikwe University Teaching hospital on the issue,  Professor Onyekwe who is in charge of the case, disclosed to this reporter that an ‘Filteration surgeryof the eye’ will have to be carried out urgently to stop the enlargement of the cancer.
He stated that the surgery which will take place at Guiness Eye centre, Nnewi, Anambra state will cost the sum of N100,000.

Doctors Use 'Superglue' to Stop Bleeding From the Brain of a Baby

The unbelievable happened at the University of Kansas Hospital when doctors had to apply superglue to stop the bleeding from the brain of a baby to save her life during an emergency surgery after it was discovered that Baby Ashlyn Julian was suffering from brain aneurysm.

The baby was discovered to be bleeding from two places but it was discovered her mother said she observed that baby Ashyln was not her usually self as she kept screaming and didn’t respond well to care as opposed to her quietness.

“She has an aneurysm and it’s already haemorrhaged, and that’s just frightening,” Gina recalled.
Ashlyn had suffered from a stroke and bled from two places after having an aneurysm in the brain, a rare condition for babies under 28 days.

The Endovascular Neurosurgeon Dr. Koji Ebersole of the University hospital decided against cutting into the baby’s brain as every drop of blood is crucial in infants. Also, the condition in babies this age is so rare that tiny tools do not exist to perform the surgery.

The decision was made to use a sterile drop of superglue to fix the aneurysm.

Dr. Alan Reeves, an interventional neuroradiologist, placed a catheter in the baby’s body, entering at the hip, and then Ebersole was able to drop in the superglue and it did the magic and it is expected that Ashlyn will make a full recovery as her brain was not fully developed.

A miracle baby boy with rare heart condition has shocked the world by surviving into his 6th day defying odds of a million to one to survive, Uttar Pradesh state, India.

The child was born with an incredibly rare heart condition - ectopia cordis.
Ectopia cordis is a congenital malformation in which the heart is abnormally located either partially or totally outside of the thorax.
The ectopic heart can be placed out of the neck, chest, or abdomen.
Still to be named baby was born with the heart on the outside of his chest shocked the parents and medics by surviving into his 6th day.

As parents of a miracle boy Priyanka, 24, and Nirbhay Pal, 31, are very poor and have no money for the treatment, they have launched a desperate appeal to help him live longer.
The boy needs private health care and a vital but expensive surgery.
According to Nirbhay Pal, the doctors insist on putting the boy into private hospital to carry out the complicated operation.



But the young parents can barely afford two square meals a day.
Now they are hoping that the government will help them.
Ectopia cordis affects as few as eight in a million babies, unfortunately, 90% of them are either stillborn or dying within three days.

Giant rats eat two babies in South Africa townships in separate attacks

Giant rats as big as cats have killed and eaten two babies in separate attacks in South Africa's squalid townships this week.

Lunathi Dwadwa, three, was killed as she slept in her parent's shack in the Khayelitsha slum outside Cape Town and another girl was killed in Soweto township near Johannesburg the same day.

Little Lunathi was sleeping on a makeshift bed on the floor of her family's breeze block and corrugated iron home on Sunday night when she died. Her puzzled parents didn't even hear her scream.

When her mother discovered her lifeless body, she saw that her daughter's eyes had been gouged out.

Bukiswa Dwadwa, 27, said: 'I can't forget how ugly my child looked after her eyes were ripped out.

'She was eaten from her eyebrows to her cheeks, her other eye was hanging by a piece of flesh.'

Her father Mncedisi Mokoena said police told him: 'Nothing could have done that but rats'

And today police revealed that a baby girl died in the Soweto township when she was attacked by rats while her teenage mother was out with friends.

'We were called to the scene of the death of an infant due to a rat attack on Monday morning at around 9am,' said police officer Bongani Mhlongo.

'The mother of the child was arrested on charges of culpable homicide and negligence.'

A giant rat in South Africa, much like the ones which are thought to have killed two babies this last week

The deaths appear to be part of a spate of deadly rat attacks in the country.

Last month, 77-year-old grandmother Nomathemba Joyi died after giant rats chewed off the right side of her face

Residents of South Africa's impoverished townships say the giant rats grow up to three-foot long, including their tails, and have front teeth over an inch long.

The suspects in the baby attacks are believed to be African Giant Pouched Rats, a species only distantly related to UK rats, but native to sub-Saharan Africa - and the biggest in the world.

They are nocturnal, omnivorous and can produce up to 50 young a year. Some tribal people breed them for food.

They thrive in the townships' filthy conditions and feast on residents' uncollected rubbish.

HEROIC MOTHER DOG RESCUES NEWBORN BABY

The mothering instinct in dogs can be so strong that there have been numerous cases of amazing dogs rescuing children in distress. Such was the case when an 8-year-old dog with a newborn litter of puppies, saved an abandoned baby in a shanty town in La Plata, Argentina in 2008. When a 14-year old girl gave birth to a girl, she apparently panicked and abandoned the newborn in a field surrounded by rubbish and wooden boxes. Luckily, a dog named La China found the baby. La China gently picked up the baby girl and carry her 160 feet (50 metres) back to her kennel, where she placed the infant safely among her puppies. The next morning, when she howled in response to the baby’s crying, La China’s guardian, Fabio Anze went to see what was the matter. The farmer found the baby covered with a rag among the puppies. He took the 8lb 13 oz baby to hospital. The infant was slightly bruised and had a few minor cuts but was otherwise all right. The teenage mother later came forward and claimed the baby, who hospital staff named Esperanza, meaning “Hope”. The young girl had been afraid of her parents’ possible reaction, but ended up receiving help from welfare agencies to help her raise the baby while continuing her high school studies. La China became an instant celebrity and was given awards and accolades for her heroic action. The attention from all the people initially distressed the shy mother dog, but eventually she was left in peace to tend to her puppies.
