Kenyans celebrated the beginning of the New Year differently. Some drank themselves silly, others danced themselves lame and others sang themselves hoarse at keshas (night vigils). However, a certain Nyakundi, a former councilor in the defunct Kisii Municipal Council and now a Member of the County Assembly (MCA), took things to a whole new level when he decided to have ‘gland-to-gland’ combat with a married woman in a bush, a few metres from his home. 

Upon being busted, the MCA is said to have bolted at maximum speed in the nude to save face. Villagers who witnessed the scandalous incident, in Mosocho division, are still reeling from shock. The politician, well known for his philandering ways, is now on the lips of many with the story running up and down the village grapevine. It all began when a woman going to fetch water at a river heard strange noises emanating from a thicket. And out of curiosity, she moved closer only to stumble upon the politician engrossed in the ‘act of rod’ with the woman, whom the buster says looked old enough to be someone’s wife. When the two love birds discovered that they had been busted, they unceremoniously disbanded the ‘amorous congress’, scampered and ran helter-skelter, disappearing into a nearby maize plantation, leaving behind their clothes. Spoiling bush party After spoiling the bush party, the buster proceeded to confiscate the clothes from the crime scene as she raised the alarm. The villagers responded and made a beeline for the scene armed with all manner of crude weapons, thinking it was a case of robbery only to discover it was a mheshimiwa having an ‘amorous congress’ with a woman in a thicket. The buster narrated to the crowd what had happened and produced the clothes as evidence, leaving the villagers in stitches. “Aiga nao baraire! (I found them sleeping here),” said the woman. As some of the villagers laughed their heads off, others shook their heads in disbelief and shame, wondering why a respectable man of the MCA’s calibre would romp a woman in a bush Some locals suspected he chose the bush for fear of being noticed at a lodging, seeing as he is a public figure. Details of the disgraceful incident spread like a bush fire and the politician is reported to be shying away from the public. “This is shameful. How could a man of his stature stoop so low. There are so many lodgings in town. Is he that broke?” a villager was heard saying. Details on how the politician made it home naked are scanty. Nobody knows what transpired at his home. It is suspected that he managed to sneak back there through the backdoor without anybody noticing since his family members seem unaware of the incident. He has however, been missing at most of the entertainment spots he is known to frequent. The first and last time he was spotted at the local market he claimed he had been unwell and asked them to remember him in their prayers for evil spirits were haunting him.

A woman who went to a plastic surgeon to get a routine breast reduction was left disfigured after the operation was botched.

45-year-old Dawn Roberts had size 36FF breasts and her body was disproportionate, size 18 on top and a 10 below.

She had a first surgery but had to have another when she gained weight and her bust filled out again.

But thanks to a bungling surgeon, in place of the petite 36C breasts she had hoped for, she woke up to find she had badly scarred square breasts that were pitted with holes and an unwanted triangular protuberance on one side.

Disfigured: Dawn says she has been left mutilated and miserable by the botched breast reduction

‘My breasts were quite large, 36FF, and I didn’t like them because I looked so top heavy and it meant I was size 10 on the bottom and 18 on the top,’ she remembers.

And after the first operation to reduce them, she was thrilled with the results. ‘Within weeks, I was was like a new woman and I couldn’t believe it,’ she remembers. ‘I had this small bust and there was no pain.’

But disaster struck when Dawn began to gain weight and her new, smaller bust regained its old volume.

‘They grew a lot bigger than the rest of me,’ she adds. ‘They grew quite quickly and the back pain was back, the neck pain was back, so I went back to the doctors and the surgeon suggested I have a second breast reduction.’

With her wedding just three months away, Dawn was worried that her breasts wouldn’t be healed in time but the surgeon reassured her that things would be fine.

‘One breast is higher than the other and both are completely square,’ she reveals. ‘On one side, there’s a big triangle bulge – it’s complete disfigurement.’

Determined to look her best on her wedding day, she walked down the aisle with a rolled up bandage in her bra to give herself a cleavage and hid the disfigurement beneath her dress.

But too embarrassed to wear a bikini, her dream Egyptian honeymoon had to be postponed indefinitely.

‘We’ve been married for 12 months and we’ve still not been on our honeymoon,’ says Dawn’s husband, Steve.

‘We were planning to go to Egypt but haven’t been able to go because of the way Dawn was left. She doesn’t feel comfortable wearing a bikini or any sort of swimwear.

He added: ‘The intimacy side has become very difficult. She doesn’t like me touching her because she’s so self-conscious about it.’

Dawn herself says she feels guilty about what happened and the burden it has placed on her relationship with her new husband.

‘Steve has had to take on awful lot,’ she adds. ‘It’s not fair on him to be burdened with this as soon as we got married.

‘Even though he’s been very patient and very supportive, I’m not the same person that he met. I’ve been left so disfigured, I just don’t feel like a woman anymore. It really has ruined my life.’

Confirmed: Teleka Patrick's Body Found In Indiana (VIDEO)

Earlier this week, we told you about the Indiana fisherman who found a body in Lake Charles in Porter County, Indiana. Before doing any testing, authorities believed it was the body of Michigan medical student, Teleka Patrick.
Today, the coroner confirmed that the body does indeed belong Teleka Patrick.
The investigation continues to determine the cause of death as toxicology reports are still pending.
The Kalamazoo, Michigan county sheriff Richard Fuller that there were no signs of trauma or foul play and they believe, at this point, that Patrick’s death was the result of a drowning.
Such a sad end to this bizarre story.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Patrick’s family.

Now that the Mrs. Carter World Tour has ended, Beyoncé and Jay Z had time to take Blue Ivy and jet to the DR for an extended family vacation.
According to E! Online, at one point in their vacation, the couple was spotted at a local bar at the Casa de Comp resort mingling with other patrons:
A source tells E! News, “They were sitting at the bar,” adding that at one point, Jay Z tapped a man on the back who was “wearing a Brooklyn Nets shirt, and said ‘cool shirt man.’ ” The insider also noted that the couple looked happy and in love, and sharing that Beyoncé “looked beautiful” (as if we would think otherwise).
Jay was also reportedly spotted by people as he pushed Blue on a swing on the playground at the resort.
As cute as all that sounds, you can actually see how much fun the couple had because quite a few photos were shared through Beyoncé’s Tumblr of time the couple spent together, them playing with the growing Blue Ivy (in her colorful swimsuits), and Bey by herself, reflecting. A man has dragged 38-year-old Sali Malu, a gatekeeper,to the Abule Egba Magistrates’ Court  for raping him.The complainant (names withheld), who is also a gatekeeper in  Peace Estate, Ipaja, Lagos estate, went to the room of the accused to charge his phone.

“The accused gave him food to eat. The man did not know that the food had been laced with drug.
“After eating the food, he slept off only to wake up to the reality that he had been raped,’’ “When the complainant woke up, his anus was paining him and there was some left-over semen in it,

The prosecutor, Insp. Racheal Williams alleged that the accused had drugged his victim before raping him on March 23 in the house of the accused.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the accused is facing a two-count charge of sexual assault and causing a breach of peace.The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge of raping a fellow gatekeeper (names withheld) and breach of peace.The accused was granted bail of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

Michael Jackson’s postmortem fortunes got another boost yesterday with the announcement that Epic Records will release Xscape, an album of all-new material by the King of Pop, on May 13th.

Xscape came together after Jackson’s estate granted Epic chief Antonio “L.A.” Reid unlimited access to the singer’s musical archives. Reid selected eight tracks on which Jackson had already recorded vocals and passed them along to a team of producers led by Timbaland, who then made additional sonic contributions. The result, according to Reid, is something worthy of Jackson’s legacy.

“Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with,” said Reid in a statement. “We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world.”

“Michael was always on the cutting edge and was constantly reaching out to new producers, looking for new sounds,” added John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of Jackson’s estate. “He was always relevant and current. These tracks, in many ways, capture that spirit. We thank L.A. Reid for his vision.”

With the release strategy for Xscape–radio silence up until an announcement just six weeks before launch–Jackson also finds himself on the cutting edge of album rollout planning. The approach isn’t entirely different from the likes of Beyoncé and Jay Z.

True, those two superstars left even less time between the announcements and launches of their albums. For Jay Z, it was about three weeks; for Beyoncé, the events occurred simultaneously. But even Jackson’s six-week window is a short one compared to other recent releases by big acts like 50 Cent and Coldplay, both of whom announced their albums more than two months in advance.

Jackson’s former publicist, Susan Blond, remembers putting together album publicity campaigns that began three to four months before the King of Pop’s releases. For other artists releasing music from beyond the grave, the window is still wide: the estate of Johnny Cash first publicized the launch date of Out Among The Stars, released this month, in mid-December.

Of course, with a departed act, a short runway can be much easier to negotiate. There are no tours or publicity appearances to organize. And as with living acts, the advent of social media has rendered a lengthy leadup unnecessary. With over 70 million likes on Facebook, Jackson is as well equipped as any to spread the word.

“The only thing the record company needs to do is get the word out and the record will sell itself,” says veteran entertainment attorney Owen Sloane, who once represented the Jacksons. “Since social networking is the key to getting the word out, and that happens instantaneously today, long lead times are not necessary.”

Will other artists follow the lead of Beyoncé, Jay Z and, now, Jackson? A few have, most recently Kid Cudi and Skrillex, with mixed results. As one major label president recently said: “This kind of event is the territory for maybe 10 artists in the world.”

Even from beyond the grave, Jackson is clearly part of that group.

EXCLUSIVE: Elections Malpractices in Kenyan Universities

Technical University of Mombasa is the giant center of education in the Kenyan Coast. Africa has always lagged behind in many fields, not because it cannot move forward, but because the drivers haven’t reached a point of realizing that they need to re-ignite the engine and take us more steps ahead, at least behind the others even if we can never beat, or match them- we should at least compare.

Everyone who can read this piece I’m writing, is old enough to remember 4^th March 2013; all of us know very well that, we were only hypnotized by previous outcomes; preventing us from revolting, since the elections were not fair enough. Yes, the process was not transparent as it was planned and insinuated and even expected by the country men and women. After all the plans and preparations, we all had it wrong; ballot papers picked somewhere, some places people vote more than registered, and altered results.

Africa has ever since our Kenyan post election issues been faced with similar election malpractices. Talk of our sister country Uganda-where Museveni had Kizza Besigye (an opposition leader) and his allies arrested when they were clinging on justice. Zimbabwe, the big man Mugabe cleanly denied defeat by Tsvangirai openly stating that he will remain in power until he hits 100 years of age.

In our daily state, we all know that the world around us is a big mirror that can easily define how our life operates.

What really causes election violence and malpractices? Corruption is the mother cause, and on this, Kenya is number one. And nobody can easily displace it from us, because it has lived with us 50 clean years. A preacher once told me that sin committed for a long time becomes a character. Look at when Mohamed Ali planned to unearth the after math of 2013 4^th March election, the ‘higher powers’ were on freeze, people have been sacked and Mohamed Ali has to edit his presentation and present it for approval before he airs it. If not, this is Kenya.

I have a strong feeling that a time is coming when we – the young generation – will rise against the blind fold of the peanuts we are given during campaigns and say we will be the champions of transparency.

What happened in TUM recently 4^th April 2014 was a stupid character- and allow me say it was a stupid way of manipulation. The TUM Constitution 2014 clearly states that the General Elections are to be conducted by an Independent body. For some strange reasons, the person in-charge of such matters, the Dean of Students currently serving, Mr. Maganga allowed the Electoral College Commission to conduct it. Of course money matters are associated with such acts, no doubt. With proof, elections started at 2.00pm, intentionally, there were less ballot papers, and no secret booths too.

When the voting begun, the people issuing the ballot papers had some influence and were either bribed, carried or had some weird ideas. They were giving out more than one ballot papers to voters. Stupid enough, some people who were given such, did not raise an alarm-Kenyans are used to theft and corruption. We are a people who will appreciate even if we board a matatu and the tout forgets to ask for the cash.

Let us think in four faces: I planned to use this money, this person needs this money to run his family, the vehicle needs fuel to be on the road, and above all, there’s the vehicle owner who needs the lion share every week or day from his investment.

If the TUM voters stood then and said halt to the entire process, it would have been good enough. However, another problem or challenge rather is that, we make a lot of noise when the Constitution is being reviewed-oh-how was the Review Committee formed-oh-why did you put so and so to be the Chair or part of it; that’s one of the most stupid ways of approaching matters. People are always fighting to pull the ‘meat’ towards them, and that’s the attitude- we as educated chaps should totally refrain from.

When we were reviewing the Constitution, being a member of the committee, having been in this system for 4years, and seen 4 different leaderships- of which the last three failed us terribly including the current where people looked at how much they are getting from the budget, and not how much the students are benefiting from the activities we have laid for them this session semester. If we demote the ‘I’ and adopt the ‘WE’ or better even ‘THEM’, we can go far friends.

In TUM, the main challenge it has is that the Deputy Dean of students has never taken action on sensitive matters such as money matters. When I was the speaker of Parliament 2013, at times I would go to him, report to him the suspicious moves by certain individuals to mishandle students’ money, and he would take it then, later you get the information from other sources he shared with. Working with the other Dean, Dr. Munga was very fine, but when he left to be the Director at Ukunda Campus…there the rain started beating us.

First, they disabled the Parliament, then they tried as much as possible to avoid parliament sessions. And many other funny things followed like ‘chewing’ the money that was set to review the constitution.

To all students in Kenyan And Universities anywhere, and citizens in the world, let us get it that what we do today affects our tomorrow. There are no free things, everything someone has to account for in some way. So, be smart, be vigilant and resist the devil of corruption. As learned people, we should stand against such things and in this way, we shall go afar. Lastly-let us embrace peaceful demonstrations in all times, the days of burning up a hostel because mess food was not well prepared are gone. Let’s style up, be better than the people who came before us.

To TUM, don’t accept to go to election conducted by the admin or students, there’s money to hire experts-settle for the best for the better of TUM.

My Letter to The Landlord

Dear Landlord,

I write this letter to you in a sad tone. The fact that I did not get a room inside the campus does not mean that I am not entitled to any right. I am unhappy with what is taking place in this rentals. I was through with my classes at 6pm and I went see a friend. It rained and never came early. I come when it  was completely dark as I struggle with the mud on the road. On my arrival the whole place is darkness reloaded. The dropping thing had dropped and no one except you knows where to raise it. You claim that one of us uses a coil to cook but that is not me. I had to use my sense of touch to open the door. After a long struggle my door opens.I have no candle and I use mymulika mwizi to light my house. The battery bar shows me that my battery is about to go off and I have to conserve it. So I choose to stay in the dark.

My time to cook arrives. I have to do it in darkness. In my container I realize that I have no water. I approach the tank outside but it is even drier. Not even a drop. I should go and buy water from the point where that woman sells water but it is at night she probably have gone to his house. She has kids and a husband. So I resort to plan B. I borrow a jag of water from my immediate neighbor but he also tells me that he doesn’t have any. I move to the next one who gives me a half a jag water.

As I cook and I have to struggle to do it. I have to chop my onions and tomatoes in darkness. My knife slides and cuts my finger. I have to take heart. I cook in the dark. I am not even sure whether I have measured enough salt. Even the size of cooking fat I have used I have not seen it. I cook my ugali.I don’t even know if I have stirred the flour well. I have to discover that when while eating.My other neighbor arrives. He and his girlfriend  are from a drinking spree and they come shouting. He is complaining of insecurity, his new pair of shirt was stolen from the hanging line. I can neither read nor sleep Bwana Landlord. In the middle of the night I feel thirsty. I don’t want to wake any of my neighbors up. I have to remain thirsty till morning.

In the morning the first place I go is the loo. Where I have to queue because we are many more than the facility can accommodate. My turn comes and I get in only to develop a feeling of vomiting straight away. There is no one responsible for cleaning the place. It is so dirty and so smelly. The size too cannot  contain the size of my body.The door is below my neck.

The bathroom is the next place. I also have to queue. This life is becoming so difficult. I will give up soon and decide to relocate to another place if you don’t do something Bwana Landlord.

I prepare myself to go to school and as I am about to pass through the gate I meet you. Being the end of the month you ask me for money. Mr.Landlord, please give me time to think if I will pay you or I move out.
