While there should be an effort to linger on with the sexual feel even after the actual act is over, couples who deviate from this mood are certainly affecting their sexual relationship.”

Female kidnapper lynched to death in Ilorin

A middle-aged woman was on Friday lynched and set ablaze by an irate mob at Emir road, near Opo-Malu junction, in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. According to reports, the mother of the baby was alighting from a motorcycle and had asked the woman to assist her hold the baby. But surprisingly, the suspected kidnapper bolted away with the baby. Shocked, the mother of the baby raised the alarm which attracted passersby and neighbours and they chased the fleeing suspect. The mob eventually caught up with her, stripped her naked and beat her mercilessly before setting her ablaze. The incident resulted in pandemonium as panic-stricken residents, shop owners, commuters and pedestrians fled in different directions. In the ensuing confusion, some motorists near the area abandoned their vehicles and took to their heels, while others made a detour to avoid being implicated. Also, some confused passersby were said to have taken refuge in nearby residential buildings.

 

Armed policemen from a Division of the state Police Command were quickly deployed to the troubled area.

A source who pleaded anonymity told journalists that they were shocked when the suspect ran away with the baby.He said; “A nursing mother who was cuddling a baby was alighting from okada (motorcycle) and asked the female kidnapper to help her hold her baby. Before we knew what was happening, the woman fled with the toddler and people caught her. She was given the beating of her life. When they discovered that the woman was unperturbed, they poured kerosene on her and set her on fire at the scene. Immediately, the policemen arrived at the scene, they started shooting and everybody scampered to safety.” The Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr Ambrose Aisabor, confirmed the incident and confirmed the arrest of some suspects.

BREAKING NEWS: Bodies and debris from AirAsia Flight 8501 pulled from sea off Indonesia

JAKARTA, Indonesia — Indonesian rescuers searching for an AirAsia plane carrying 162 people pulled bodies and wreckage from the sea off the coast of Borneo on Tuesday, prompting relatives of those on board watching TV footage to break down in tears.

Indonesia AirAsia's Flight QZ8501, an Airbus A320-200, lost contact with air traffic control early on Sunday during bad weather on a flight from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore.

The navy said 40 bodies had been recovered. The plane has yet to be found.

"My heart is filled with sadness for all the families involved in QZ8501," airline boss Tony Fernandes tweeted. "On behalf of AirAsia, my condolences to all. Words cannot express how sorry I am."

The airline said in a statement that it was inviting family members to Surabaya, "where a dedicated team of care providers will be assigned to each family to ensure that all of their needs are met".

Pictures of floating bodies were broadcast on television and relatives of the missing already gathered at a crisis center in Surabaya wept with heads in their hands. Several people collapsed in grief and were helped away.

"You have to be strong," the mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini, said as she comforted relatives. "They are not ours, they belong to God."

A navy spokesman said a plane door, oxygen tanks and one body had been recovered and taken away by helicopter for tests.

"The challenge is waves up to three meters high," Fransiskus Bambang Soelistyo, head of the Search and Rescue Agency, told reporters, adding that the search operation would go on all night. He declined to answer questions on whether any survivors had been found.

About 30 ships and 21 aircraft from Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and the United States have been involved in the search.

The plane, which did not issue a distress signal, disappeared after its pilot failed to get permission to fly higher to avoid bad weather because of heavy air traffic, officials said.

It was traveling at 32,000 feet (9,753 meters) and had asked to fly at 38,000 feet, officials said earlier.

Pilots and aviation experts said thunderstorms, and requests to gain altitude to avoid them, were not unusual in that area.

The Indonesian pilot was experienced and the plane last underwent maintenance in mid-November, the airline said.

The aircraft had accumulated about 23,000 flight hours in some 13,600 flights, according to Airbus.

Online discussion among pilots has centered on unconfirmed secondary radar data from Malaysia that suggested the aircraft was climbing at a speed of 353 knots, about 100 knots too slow, and that it might have stalled.

Clues when things go wrong

The plane, whose engines were made by CFM International, co-owned by General Electric and Safran of France, lacked real-time engine diagnostics or monitoring, a GE spokesman said.

Such systems are mainly used on long-haul flights and can provide clues to airlines and investigators when things go wrong.

Three airline disasters involving Malaysian-affiliated carriers in less than a year have dented confidence in the country's aviation industry and spooked travelers across the region.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 went missing on March 8 on a trip from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 passengers and crew on board and has not been found. On July 17, the same airline's Flight MH17 was shot down over Ukraine, killing all 298 people on board.

Bizarrely, an AirAsia plane from Manila skidded off and overshot the runway on landing at Kalibo in the central Philippines on Tuesday. No one was hurt.

On board Flight QZ8501 were 155 Indonesians, three South Koreans, and one person each from Singapore, Malaysia and Britain. The co-pilot was French.

U.S. law enforcement and security officials said passenger and crew lists were being examined but nothing significant had turned up and the incident was regarded as an unexplained accident.

Indonesia AirAsia is 49 percent owned by Malaysia-based budget carrier AirAsia.

The AirAsia group, including affiliates in Thailand, the Philippines and India, had not suffered a crash since its Malaysian budget operations began in 2002.

Zimbabwean orders for a prostitute; daughter arrives

A man in Zimbabwe called for a prostitute and was answered by his daughter. Not exactly every father's dream. Titus Ncube from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, called for a prostitute to his hotel room and fell to the ground in shock and horror when the young woman who arrived at his door was his own daughter, according to the Zimbabwe News. His daughter, age 20, responded by running away from the hotel. The father has since expressed his deep regret for calling a prostitute while married, according to the Huffington Post. “I am sorry for what I did,” he said. “I spoke to my wife and my daughter… I apologized for my actions because I just wanted my family back."

He claims his daughter has since returned to school and is in therapy. The man's wife has reacted as well: "If it were not for my children," she reportedly said, "I could have divorced him a long time ago.” This is the second prostitute story to come out of Zimbabwe recently. A man was arrested in Zimbabwe last month for having sex with a donkey, who he claimed was originally a prostitute. He then explained that he and the donkey had fallen in love.

What's more, Fertel says that traditional approaches to mending a broken marriage -- like marriage counseling -- are ineffective because of their emphasis on listening, rather than doing. He cites a couple that attended counseling sessions for weeks, and who came out of the experience with a better understanding of each spouse's point of view -- but no actionable steps to fix their marriage.

"Listening is an important skill, both for a counselor and a spouse. But a broken marriage needs leadership. After listening, someone has to have the courage and experience to say, “Ok, here’s what I want you to do,” Fertel says. "Marriages change not because of what people say or how well they listen; marriages change because of what people do."

A Nigerian spare parts trader based in Benin City, Festus Aimufua, has been detained by Edo state police command for allegedly murdering his middle-aged Austrian-based lover, Rose Aifuwa‎, who returned home for the Christmas and New Year holiday. The late Rose allegedly met her death on Christmas eve in the hands of the suspect when she went to demand for the redemption of debt running into millions of naira from the sale of goods she imported for him. The suspect who resided at Upper Mission road by Aduwawa, in Ikpoba Okha local government area of the state, was said to have murdered the deceased at her residence located on Lucky Way in Benin,‎ during a heated argument. It was gathered that Rose Aifuwa’s body was later found at the busy Upper Mission junction with several deep cuts and bruises. Nemesis was said to have caught up with the suspect after he reported the incident to the Ikpoba Hill Police Division, claiming to have killed the deceased by accident. He was promptly apprehended by men of the division. A resident of the area who alleged that she woke up on Christmas day to find the corpse of the woman, told journalists on condition of anonymity that the deceased was dragged on the floor of a tarred road for about 400 metres, tied to the back of a bus. “I didn’t open my shop on that day because it was Christmas day. But when I came out that morning, I saw people shouting. So, I quickly rushed to the spot where I saw a dead woman with deeps cuts everywhere. “‎The woman looked like someone who was not living in Nigeria.‎ I thought she was a victim of ritualists but I heard people saying that she was killed by her boyfriend who tied her to his bus and dragged her from her house in Lucky Way to the junction. “I really felt bad because she had a hole in her back and her intestines came out because of how she was dragged and I could not even looked at the face of her brother who came to buy something this morning (Saturday) because he was very angry”, he said. Another resident who also did not want his name in print, described the murder of the deceased as barbaric, faulted claims by the suspect that the deceased fell from a moving bus.
