Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth,for they are the kind of worshippers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth(John 4:23-24). Worship is the out flow of the acknowledgement of who God is within the inner being of a person( from the heart,mind and soul). Worship is not just opening the mouth to tell God who He is,but it goes beyond that.
Whatever comes out of the heart,or the mind must worship God. The true worshippers do not worship God with their lips only but rather with their whole being(mind,soul,heart). If we claim to love God and then worship Him with only our lips without our life styles showing true and spiritual worship,then we become hypocrites. God does not need worshippers who are pretenders, but He seeks true worshippers.
Paul says: Therefore,I urge you,brothers(children of God),in view of God's mercy,to offer your bodies as living sacrifices,holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship(Romans 12:1). So then,true worshippers worship God with all what they are made up of,and all what they do(with their life style). If we open our mouths to say God we love you,You are Great,You are King of Kings and yet we lie,insult others,and speak blaspheme,then we are false worshippers.
If we tell God that we love Him with all our hearts and minds and we continue to harbour evil in our hearts and think evil,then we are not true worshippers of God.
Let us know that worship is full of practical life style but not spending a few minutes in the temple to open our lips to say great words to God(that is just a part of worship).
As God is seeking true worshippers,let us avail ourselves to Him and have a communion with Him so that His righteousness will transform us into His image and that we will become true worshippers,pleasing to Him.
It is my prayer that we renew our minds and change our attitudes towards worshipping God.
Oh Mighty God,You do not seek false worshippers because their worship is not pleasing to you. We have become hypocrites and pretenders before You,we only render lips services to You, forgive us oh God and breathe onto us so that we become true worshippers and offer ourselves as living sacrifices.
Help us to radically fall in love with you,that our hearts,minds and souls will bond to Your Spirit and make us revelational worshippers who worship in truth and in spirit to the beauty of Your Glory.
